A 14K gold square signet ring cut as an open back, available in yellow, white or rose gold. The top is the same flat square plate you would get on a closed-back signet — the difference is underneath.
On an open-back ring the underside of the plate is hollowed out rather than filled. Less metal means a lower price, and the ring wears lighter and sits closer to the finger — looking down at your hand you cannot tell the two apart. The face arrives flat and unengraved, ready for a monogram, an initial or a crest, and it is a clean, quiet ring worn plain.

- Karat: solid 14K gold, 58.5% (585 stamped)
- Small: 8.5 x 9 mm face, about 2.8 g — neat enough for a pinky, and the size most women choose
